Location: New Orleans, USA. Murmansk, Russia. Sendai, Japan. Bengkulu, Indonesia. Comodoro, Argentina.
Project description:
Now people have control over almost everything. And, like Moses from the Bible, we decided to create a sea corridor, which will be the main road on the way to the museum. Thus ensuring the full involvement and immersion of man in the depths of the world’s oceans.
Philosophy and concept of the project:
Location 1. New Orleans, USA.
On April 20, 2010, one of the largest man-made disasters of the 21st century occurred in the Gulf of Mexico – the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform. According to various estimates, more than 10,000 tons of oil per day leaked onto the surface of the gulf, which caused irreparable damage to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean as a whole.
Location 2. Murmansk, Russia
On August 10, 2000, on the border of Russia and Norway, the nuclear submarine Kursk exploded, resulting in a leak of radioactive substances into the Arctic Ocean.
Location 3. Sendai, Japan.
In 1985, a large garbage patch was discovered in the North Pacific Gype between Japan and USA. In the future called the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. And at the moment, this spot occupies an area of about 0.5% of the total area of the Pacific Ocean.
Location 4. Bengkulu, Indonesia.
We should remember the destructive power of the ocean and the Sea Museum on the Indian Ocean will remind us of one of the largest natural disasters, namely the tsunami of December 26, 2004, which destroyed the coasts of 14 Indian Ocean countries and killed more than 200,000 people.
Location 5. Comodoro, Argentina.
Deforestation, colossal volumes of emissions, soil, water and air pollution – this is all that ultimately led to the development of the greenhouse effect, which contributes to the melting of glaciers in the Antarctic Ocean and an increase in water levels in the world’s oceans, which will have a detrimental effect on all coastal cities of the World.
We believe that this location of museums will serve as a memorial that will remind humanity of the tragedies that have occurred or are currently occurring near this territory and will increase the tourist attractiveness of the regions as a whole.

Museum structure:

The first exhibition halls – the “History” halls – will tell the viewer about the origin of all life on Earth, about the life of man and the sea, about the first discoveries and the influence of the ocean on the history of all mankind, gradually leading us to our days, to our reality.
The “Reality” hall will be a complete contrast to what was in the previous ones. It will show the detrimental impact of people on ocean life, all the destruction, all examples of man-made disasters that occurred due to human fault.
A sharp contrast, a change of scenery will make the strongest impression on a person and will clearly show the destructive impact of man on nature.
The next room is the “Decisions” room. Scientific laboratories, lecture halls, and an aquarium will be located here, thereby showing that everything can still be corrected and all the beauty and benefits of the world’s oceans can be preserved.
Conclusion:
5 pillars of light pointing upward for each of the 5 oceans, symbolizing the SOS sign for all humanity. And this light, resembling a lighthouse in the sea, will burn until the problem of one of the 5 oceans is solved.
